Poland To Ban Monsanto’s Genetically Modified Maize
Poland will impose a complete ban on growing the MON810 genetically modified strain of maize made by US company Monsanto on its territory, Agriculture Minister Marek Sawicki said Wednesday.
“The decree is in the works. It introduces a complete ban on the MON810 strain of maize in Poland,” Sawicki told reporters, adding that pollen of this strain could have a harmful effect on bees.
On March 9, seven European countries — Belgium, Britain, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Ireland and Slovakia — blocked a proposal by the Danish EU presidency to allow the cultivation of genetically-modified plants on the continent.
Seven days after that, France imposed a temporary ban on the MON810 strain.
Talks on allowing the growing of genetically-modified plants on EU soil are now deadlocked as no majority has emerged among the 27 member states.

#AnonyMISS #Anonymous > Illegal Defunct Government #FDA -> #OpAntiTox <~ #AnonOps #a99 #OpESR #DGR

Greetings, we are Anonymous.
This is a message to the Food and Drug Administration.

You’re distribution of poison for every man, woman and child in the United States has been noted by Anonymous. Over the years, we have been watching you. We have watched your campaigns of lies, how you ignore the peoples cries of protest, and your censorship of the information that should be published on every newspaper and magazine. Your laws designed to suppress the freedoms of the people, how you kill hundreds of thousands every day slowly. We have seen you imprison those who try to save the people from you. Your corrupted organization has been made clear to us that you do not respect nor care about the freedoms and wellbeing of everyone you were employed to help. Anonymous as therefore decided that the Food and Drug Administration must be destroyed. For the good of the children and for the good of the people you poison, and for our own enjoyment. We see you as a serious threat and we are ready to expel you from the face of the earth and the internet. You will not survive against the wrath of the angry masses, or Anonymous. You may tell those that we have targeted you for destruction; in fact, it is encouraged, for our enjoyment, for the lulz. You won’t prevail against us, for we are everywhere.

Your crimes against the health and well being of everyone and your punishment against those who would expose the truth will no longer be tolerated. Your enabling of corrupt laws to line the pockets of greedy corporations will not be accepted. You will be exposed to the people, and you will be removed from the internet and your organization will be destroyed. Your days of deceit are over. Revolution is here. The people will rise up against your profiteering and your corruption. We shall destroy your corrupt regimes. We will cure the poison that is the FDA.

To the people of the United States, we ask you not to buy the foods and drinks at the super market, instead, buy foods from your local organic markets, do not buy sugar free products, do not buy products tainted with monosodium glutamate or toxic preservatives, do not buy any breakfast cereals, do not buy medications with serious side effects, buy products that contain Cane Sugar, buy products that have been grown locally on the farms in your area, buy medication that has little to no side effects. End the crimes of the FDA. Expose the truth.

Operation AntiTox, engaged.

We are Anonymous,
We are Legion,
We do not forgive,
We do not forget,
Expect us.

Yes! I’ve been wondering if Anonymous was going to tackle our food and water supply. Can we also encourage people to not buy from any of the restaurants that serve the contaminated food/water, grow food yourself or start community gardens, eat less meat overall, and expose the truth about dairy, soy, and other foods? There is an endless amount of disinformation about food and health out there, it’s time to take it all down.

Finally got around to planting a few herbs today. Two each of parsley, cilantro, and basil: the herbs I use the most. Can’t wait for them to sprout!

Hi Kids! Biotechnology Is Helping Improve the Health of the Earth By Injecting Poisons Into Our Food!

Reblogged from anticapitalist

Monsanto, Dow, Dupont and friends may have reached a new low by bringing their genetically engineered lies into the classroom via their new Look Closer at Biotechnology, an activity book/fairy tale that tells kids about “all the wonderful ways” that biotechnology grows more food, helps the environment and improves our health, none of which is true, but anyway….Brought to you by the Council for Biotechnology Information (sic), a corporate mouthpiece whose sole aim is to make more money for these guys.

“Hi Kids! This is an activity book for young people like you about biotechnology - a really neat topic. Why is it such a neat topic? Because biotechnology is helping to improve the health of the Earth and the people who call it home.”

Take a look at the activity book here. And shit, I’ll throw in a quote from the introduction page:

You will see that biotechnology is being used to figure out how to (1) grow more food; (2) help the environment; and (3) grow more nutritious food that improves our health.

The rest of the booklet is even worse. The publisher, the Council for Biotechnology Information, is a non-profit organization designed to promote the business interests of the biotech industry. In fact, they contributed $375,000 to the Coalition Against the Costly Labeling Law, a front group trying to defeat the California Right to Know Genetically Engineered Food Act of 2012. If passed, this bill would ban food manufacturers and retailers from labeling genetically-engineered foods as “natural” or “all-natural”, as well as requiring them to label foods containing genetically-engineered ingredients. Clearly, CBI has no regard for any science-based information, and is very much brainwashing children with these booklets.

Again, genetically-engineered foods are becoming harder and harder to avoid. Growing your own fruits and vegetables from heirloom/organic seeds is one of the best way to be completely sure the vegetation you eat is healthy.

Medical Expert Recommends Ditching Pills for Gardening to Treat Depression

Reblogged from eastofthebay

indiancountry:

A medical expert in the United Kingdom recommends doctors prescribe gardening to help patients beat depression, reported the Fraser Coast Chronicle.

Sir Richard Thompson, president of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK, states gardening can be more powerful drugs. That’s why he supports the government’s health reforms - the reforms will give general physicians more options than before when treating patients, including prescribing gardening, a very cheap, yet effective option to taking expensive prescription drugs. Other alternatives include dance classes for obesity and camping trips for those with depression.

Sir Richard added: ”I always wonder why people go to the gym when there is a ‘green gym’ outdoors for us all - and, what’s more, it’s free. Gardening burns off calories, makes joints supple, and is fantastic exercise. It is a physical activity that has been shown to be helpful in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and dementia.”

Gardening can burn up to 400 calories for a man, and 300 calories for a woman per hour. Turning compost is like lifting weights, trimming trees and shrubs is like walking at a moderate pace, and in general, gardening can reduce high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and more. Studies show that just being in the presence of plants reduces stress, especially in the workplace, a sense of biophilia (Link is a PDF download from the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health - click at your own discretion). In fact, other studies have shown that gardening can help cure depression, reduce stress in those undergoing cardiac rehabilitation, and help dementia patients interact more with others.

Made my lunch for tomorrow. Citrus and parsley shrimp with a spinach salad, avocado, blackberries, and flowers. I made a lemon dressing to go on it as well. It’s my first time trying edible flowers, so I’m kind of excited. They’re full of macronutrients, high in vitamins A and C, and other nutrients. I think to use up the rest of the pansies and roses, I’ll make some crystallized flowers…

And unfortunately, most, if not all of these companies are somehow owned or partly owned by Monsanto, the biggest producer of genetically-modified crops.

Roasted Butternut Squash Soup
- 1 lb. butternut squash**- 1 red bell pepper- 2 large carrots- 1/2 large sweet onion- 2 garlic cloves- herbs (I used parsley, basil, black pepper, thyme, and rosemary. But feel free to change it up- 2 tablespoons olive oil- 1/2-1 cup unsweetened almond milk
**I bought previously peeled/chopped squash because I didn’t know the method of cooking halved squash in the peel and then just scooping it out later. As long as the squash is organic then I would say either method is fine.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop the veggies into medium-size chunks and spread in a pan. Peel and chop the garlic and sprinkle on veggies. Cover with your choice of herbs and olive oil and toss to coat. Cook for about an hour or until veggies are tender, mixing them halfway through so heat distributes evenly.
When they’re done (veggies should pierce/mash easily with a fork), put in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add almond milk in smaller quantities until it gets to your desired consistency. I like thick soups, so that’s why mine looks so…not-soupy. Anyways, pour in a bowl, garnish with a bit of parsley (or other herb) and you’re good to go!
This recipe was half based on this one I stumbled upon earlier when I didn’t know what to do with a bunch of squash I had leftover. I wish I was better at describing tastes, but it’s nutty, sweet, and you can taste how each of the distinct flavors of the ingredients support and mingle with one another to create a unique blend. A.K.A. it’s pretty fucking delicious.
Enjoy!

"Many people know that the cannabis plant has amazing healing powers; however the same plant can literally “eat away” nuclear waste. From the flower’s ability to aid and keep people from going blind, to the woody core of the stem’s ability to build fire proof homes and much more. Now, we can add another use to the list: Marijuana as a tool to clean up nuclear contamination around Chernobyl."

The article says that marijuana is one of the best crops for a method called phytoremediation, the general use of plants to clean up polluted areas. These plants act as natural filters and traps that break down organic pollutants and stabilize metal contaminants.

The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) states there are 30,000 sites that require hazardous waste treatment. An easy solution seems to be to plant marijuana on/near these sites that require treatment. The plants will help filter out the contaminants with minimal environmental disturbance, recycling metal-rich biomass, and at a lower cost than other remediation efforts. Then, you can use the plants to create a product that you can sell (or soon, hopefully, trade/barter) to other people!

This plant is basically god’s gift to Earth and it’s a Schedule 1 drug in the United States. If anything, we should rebelling simply because we’re being denied one of the healthiest foods (hemp seeds contain every essential protein your body needs), most versatile crops (can create everything from clothing to paper to furniture), and now one of the leading ways to fight nuclear radiation.

Time to wake up.
